THE VIDEO
A 40-minute long video intended for stimulating discussions in classrooms about the Steps of Responsibility. The video starts with four scenes of adolescents committing wrongdoings: violence, vandalism, stealing and harrassment of a teahcer. Dr. Ben Furman then discusses these incidents in a studio with eight teenagers. The discussion centers around the question of how the youngsters in the four scenes could take responsibility for their actions. A blinking PAUSE button indicates when to stop the tape for a discussion in the classroom. Thanks to the Finnish branch of CONNECT Iniative of the European Union this video is now available with English subtitles For oders click here.

THE POSTER
An poster (size: A3 - 30 cm x 42 cm) which shows the Steps of Responsibility picture and has the text "Take responsibility. What does that mean?" The poster also shows the web adress of the these pages. A pdf-version of this poster is available free of charge. (Please observe that you need the Acrobat Reader to see the poster and that you may need to wait a while for the poster to load).

ADDITIONAL VIDEO
A five minute long video intended for school children of all ages. Narration by Dr. Ben Furman. Outlines the Steps of Responsibility. Available only in Finnish.

The Finnish language version of these web pages was originally produced the Healthy Self Esteem Project of the Finnish Board of Education, and became available on their official web site in August 2000. The pages have been written and designed by psychiatrist Ben Furman in assoiation with his colleague social psychologist Tapani Ahola, both co-directors of the Brief Therapy Institute in Helsinki, Finland.
